Testing the dielectric strength of insulating oils
The OT2-60D is an automatic machine specially designed to test the breakdown voltage of transformer installation oils, oil cables, automatic switches, condensers, etc, new and used.
The breakdown voltage of an oil indicates its level of contamination (water, suspended solids) thus providing information to decide on operations such as drying and filtering or even oil changes.
The method used by the OT2-60D can be used on oils with rated viscosity of up to 350 mm2/s at 40º C, according to the IEC-156 standard.
